Igår åkte jag och en kollega ut till klipporna precis öster om nacka Strand för att se Volvo Ocean Race-båtarna segla förbi in mot Stockholm. Kollegan garvade glatt när han såg min iver att få syn på båtarna. Jag kasade ut med klipporna med tilltagande puls inför åsynen av dessa båtar jag följt runt jorden det senaste halvåret. Klart jag kände mig stolt som svensk och stockholmare när de båda Ericsson-båtarna kom svepande runt hörnet i dryga tio knop och strålande solsken. Mängden åskådarbåtar var enorm och innerskärgådens vatten revs upp av vågor som om det blåste kuling till havs. Rick Tomlinsons överblicksbild sammanfattar ganska bra. Stolta stad!
