Förra veckan träffades ett gäng shorthanded-entusiaster för att diskutera möjligheten att anordna en solokappsegling i Sverige. Diskussionen har legat och bubblat under några år och 2012 verkar vara året då vi kommer igång på riktigt. Ulf Brändström och Jimmy Hellberg är upphovsmän och det ser ut att kunna bli riktigt bra! Huvudsyftet är att ge så många som möjligt chansen att utmana sig själva, solo på sina egna båtar, under väldigt trevliga och anspråkslösa former. Datumet blir förmodligen 18 augusti i trakterna kring Sandhamn. Just nu diskuteras bansträckning. Det kommer bli två banor, en kort om 20Nm och en lång om 40Nm.
