I helgen seglade vi Lidingö runt med Hägring. Alla tre delägare, Fabien, Anna och jag, var med ombord. Vår målsättning var att 1) Ha kul 2) Lära oss båten och 3) få segla mot andra trimaraner. Det blev en dag med propagandasegling i strålande sol och vindar mellan 2 till 6 sekundmeter så vi uppfyllde vår målsättning med råge. Att ha kul var inte så svårt. Att lära oss båten var svårare. Strategin var att fokusera mer på fart än riktning mot mål och det gav utdelning, ibland. Största förbättringen var slagen där vi halvvägs på Askrikefjärden hittade ett bra tempo. Det gjorde förstås avsevärd skillnad att släppa ordentligt i storen och snärta över lattorna vid rätt tillfälle för att sedan axa upp samtidigt som seglen skotas hem i takt med rorsman. Självklart egentligen, men nu sitter det. Kryssvinklarna var också intressanta och det var bra att ha konkurrenterna nära inpå. Efter ett tag hittade vi en bra balans mellan fart och höjd.

Vi hade en relativt defensiv strategi i starten men kom iväg bra i mitten av linjen i mitten av flottan. Vi lyckades jobba oss uppåt i fältet med aktiv styrning och bra snack mellan trimmer och rorsman. Halvvägs till Fjäderholmarna hade vi lyckats ta oss upp till topp-tre i klassen om än på ett aningen högt spår, men det var ju vår strategi. Stämningen ombord var på topp! När vi rundade upp var det dags att skota hem och lära oss om kryssvinklar i trimaran. Efter halva kryssen fick vi ordning på både vinklar och strategi. Det syns ganska tydligt på trackingen nedan att vi förbättrade oss avsevärt efter halva kryssen. På den avslutande målrakan hann vi känna på screachern några hundra meter i den lätta vinden innan vi var tvungna att hissa focken och sträcka in i mål.
