I helgen fick jag följa med Daniel ut på en havstur med UBU, SWE-366. En Mini Transat 6,50 Pogo 1. Vi seglade non-stop från Rindö, via Sandhamn, utanför Svenska högarna, runt Svenska Björn och tillbaks till Rindö via Söderarm. Totalt 135 distans.
Pogon är underbar att segla med sitt stora segelplan. Det är fascinerande hur pass stor hon känns till havs trots sina korta 6.5 meter skrovlängd. Båten är väldigt styv, både avseende konstruktion och rätande moment, vilket märks inte minst i lite krabbare havssjö. När vi stack ut utanför Sandhamn låg vågorna på från syd i spåren av den avtagande kulingen. Det blåste cirka 9 m/s och vi hade ett rev i storen och fock. Trots sjön satt jag helt torrt och styrde. Hade säkert varit annorlunda om det fortfarande blåst femton sekundmeter, men ändå. Båten driver, med sin styvhet, stenhårt framåt i vågorna. Det känns inte som att det flexar den minsta centimeter och det känns i magmusklerna som får jobba. Kände en tendens till sjösjuka när jag gick ner och klev på det första sovpasset. Lyckligtvis gick det över med lite frukost och styrande på morgonkvisten.
För att logga seglingen använde jag min nyinköpta SPOT. Jättenöjd hittills. Har dock inte förstått om mjukvaran som “trackar” har nåt bra stöd för att exportera en hel segling.
